David is a member of the State Youth Leadership Council in Georgia.
Ever since I can remember my parents have always been religious and have always tried to lead me in the path that they believe in, which is Christianity. I think they have done an okay job raising me as a child. Of course I have my bad days but who doesn’t? When I started school I was always a trouble maker and always got myself in a whole lot of mess. I hung out with the wrong crowd and always tried to fit in and to impress people. I mean I’m the type of guy that normally stands up for what he believes in. I speak my mind and am not afraid to be heard. Now thatʼs a good thing, but I usually used that in a bad way when I was younger, which made me seem like a bad kid. As the years progressed and as I grew older I realized a whole new meaning to the word life. Life to me is an awesome gift and opportunity that God has given us to prove to him that we as individuals can do more than what we can imagine if we put our minds to it. I am currently the President of two awesome organizations. Theyʼre the Youth Council of the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, and the well known 4-H. I enjoy getting involved and becoming part of something that I know will make a difference. I have volunteered in my own school, at church and just anywhere that I see that needs help. It has become my passion to help others and encourage and motivate others to strive to reach their ultimate goals. It feels really rewarding when I know that I have made an impact on a person, especially when it’s for their benefit. I know and believe that I have been very blessed to be involved in so much and that I have been able to acquire so many skills and use it for my benefit and for those around me. It is without a doubt that I have been put in this world to make a difference and with that said I will definitely make sure that everything I do will be for a greater cause. |

My name is David and I’m a senior in high School. I am a Latino and very proud of it I have three beautiful sisters and two awesome brothers; all are older except for my little brother, who is only twelve years old. I was born in California, San Clemente. I really don’t remember much about the life style of California only that it’s really expensive and I guess that’s why we moved to where I now live in Georgia. Many people say that where I live is a boring city and that it’s not cool but I actually think it’s a nice place to live.
