LGBTQ Issues Info for Parents Print

Young people who are GLBTQ may not only experience personal confusion, but face discrimination from a homophobic culture.  Research has shown that youth whose parents are rejecting of their GLBTQ identity are more likely to experience depression and attempt suicide.  GLBTQ youth need parents who respect, support, and listen to them, as well as advocating for equal rights for GLBTQ people.  Read on to learn more.
