This issue of Transitions encourages parents to talk with their children and teens about sexuality and sexual health issues. It includes advice from sex education experts and a parent's take on that advice, a fact sheet about the importance of parent-child communication, charts on pre-teens' and teens' growth and development, tips for talking with teens about contraception, tips for health care providers, and results of a teen survey regarding talking with parents about sex. The issue also includes a full-color poster and a guide to resources for parents.
